John Faieta, Trombone, was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, and received both his Bachelor's and Master of Music degrees from Boston University.  John’s performing resume is as diverse as it is long. To name a few of the many groups,  he has been seen performing with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Handel and Haydn Society Orchestra, and most recently, with The Cleveland Orchestra. For jazz and other commercial ensembles, he has performed with The Rebirth Brass Band, John Allmark Big Band, the Hot Tamale Brass Band, Manuel Kaufman’s Jazz Orchestra, and the Skatch Andersson Orchestra. 

Mr. Faieta retired as an Associate Professor from the Berklee College of Music and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2019. He enjoyed teaching there for 19 years. Faieta, an original member of the Atlantic Brass Quintet, is rejoining the award-winning ensemble after a 15-year hiatus. He is excited to make music again with the group he helped to start while he was a student at Boston University in 1985.
